Strava is the social network for athletes of all levels, with a heart for improvement, training and performance. They asked us to help them highlight the most inspirational, crazy and outlandish stories from their core community of athletes. The goal was to inspire existing users to share with their networks, to help them see the personal athletic growth and potential that's possible with Strava.
We worked closely with Strava to develop a creative direction and design approach that would appeal to athletes of all types—representing a range of tones from serious to light. What manifested was an illustration style that highlights these epic achievements in a bold, colorful and exciting way.
Alongside Strava we developed a system of illustrations and motion graphics for a variety of communication needs—including product marketing, the Strava blog and other owned social platforms.
Millions of users all around the world enjoyed these fun stats and stories.
